The
Educational Talent Search Program is currently in its 16th year
of service to students in fifteen schools covering seven counties. The program
is funded to serve 850 junior high and high school students. During the
school year, counselors meet the students' needs by providing academic counseling,
career exploration, and post-secondary planning. Other areas covered are
college selection, admission requirements and procedures, financial aid
information, tutoring, adventure-based learning, and life skills. Campus
tours and career field trips are usually the highlights of the year.
Students
in grades six through twelve are eligible to participate if they complete
the necessary paperwork and meet the eligibility requirements set by the
U.S. Department of Education. The desire to graduate high school and pursue
a post-secondary education are highly important as well. The ETS counselors
want each student to discover his/her potential and work toward achieving
academic and occupational goals. That's what Educational Talent Search
is all about!!!!! |
